I keep coming back because it's perfect, with Wi-Fi, VIP check-in/out, canoeing, yoga. Staff even helped me find my lost wallet once. I'm excited to return for Christmas!

If you're looking for a relaxing beach retreat, this hotel offers a fantastic location right on the beach with hammocks available to relax in. The views are stunning and there are plenty of fun activities like surfing nearby. The restaurant, Don Samuel, stands out for its remarkable food and service. Furthermore, the rooms have lockable doors and the upper floor has a balcony with a curtain, providing added security.
One downside is the construction noise during the day, which can disrupt the peace and quiet.

The room at Calma Chicha was simply amazing! The private bathroom with a shower made it super convenient for me as a guest with disabilities. Plus, the terrace with sea views and free WiFi were the icing on the cake. I felt so relaxed and connected to nature.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the balcony with a mountain view. It just didn't resonate with me, but I can totally see how others might enjoy it.

I loved waking up in my beachfront room at Calma Chicha. It felt like paradise. And the hammocks outside were a great spot to relax and enjoy the view.
Who needs soap or towels? Definitely not me, apparently.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room directly on the beach provided us with a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was super relaxed and we felt right at home. The rooms were nice and clean, with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. The hotel facilities were great, including the lovely hammocks where we could enjoy the sea views. The location was perfect, only a short motorbike ride away from Tyrona Park entrance. The area felt like a small village, with different bars and restaurants to choose from. We particularly enjoyed Bela Onda Cafe, which had a chill vibe and a delicious menu. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again when we are in this city!
No negatives from this place.

We had an incredible stay at a beachfront hotel in Santa Marta. Waking up to the sound of the waves and feeling the ocean breeze was absolutely heavenly. The rooms were beautifully designed and spotlessly clean, providing us with a comfortable and peaceful stay. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities like the fan and mosquito net, which ensured we had a restful sleep without any annoying bug bites. The owner, Cindy, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We loved spending our time relaxing on the hammocks, enjoying the picturesque views. The local restaurants along the beach offered delicious dining options, but our absolute favorite was the cafe attached to the hotel. Chef Bela from Brazil created the most mouthwatering burgers and açaí bowls we've ever tasted - a true culinary delight! In fact, we were so impressed with our experience that we even extended our stay and booked an extra night. we highly recommend this hidden gem in Santa Marta.

The view from the hotel was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of the waves and seeing the Caribbean Sea right from the bed was truly amazing. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect. It was close to several restaurants and other hostels, making it convenient for dining and socializing. Lastly, the bar downstairs served incredibly delicious food and drinks, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.
Our stay was marred by ongoing construction in the adjacent and upper rooms. The noise from the construction activities, including power tools and drilling, was constant from 7:30am until 5pm every day.

Beautiful rooms with a view and the sound of the waves. Truly magical. Tropical paradise beach with comfortable and luxurious rooms. - Super nice staff and amazing restaurant on-site. - Easy card payment option with a small surcharge. - No issues with noise, as the waves drown out any other sounds.
Felt very comfortable, no reason to complain.

The breakfast experience could have been improved with more variety and options.

My partner and I recently stayed at Calma Chicha for a week-long getaway. We were blown away by the idyllic location directly on the Caribbean coast. Waking up to the sound of the waves and lounging in the hammocks on our deck, just steps away from the beach, was pure bliss. Mendihuaca beach quickly became our favorite in Colombia, with its tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking walks. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff, especially Cindy, went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. We highly recommend Calma Chicha to anyone seeking a peaceful and beautiful beach getaway.
